Leverstock Green Ladies Under-18s started the season in fine style by winning the Kempston 11-a-side tournament on Saturday 1st September.

After drawing their opening match LGFC won the remaining 3 matches in their group, scoring 8 goals without conceding.

After giving away an early penalty in the final the girls soon equalised through Leigh Burrows, only to fall a goal behind again before Ellen Salter scored the goal of the tournament, a thunderbolt from 20 yards, to level at 2-2 at half time.

The second half was one way traffic with further goals coming from Anna Novelli, Cally Salter with her 4th of the day and Leigh Burrows once more, taking her tally to 5 for the day.

This was an exceptional performance from the squad of girls who played some stunning pass & move football throughout the day and bring their first piece of silverware to the club.
