Leverstock Green notched up their third straight pre-season win in their last friendly before Tuesday’s FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie against Wembley.

After a slower start than in the previous two games, the Green side found the net with two excellent goals, both coming after some impressive build-up play. In the 26th minute a pass from Elgeniy Daalberg put Guiseppe Delgaudio through to slot home neatly past the keeper, the young striker finding the net for the second time in two games.

The second goal game in the 37th minute. After some good work from James Hall, Dan Weeks crossed from near the corner flag, and Sidney Gueye came in at the far post with a diving header to double the Leverstock lead.

Chipperfield pulled a goal back three minutes later with a shot from the number 15 that found the corner of the net.

Five changes were made to the Leverstock side at half time, and one of the substitutes, Adiel Mannion added the third goal on 56 minutes with a cheeky finish, slotting the ball between the keeper’s legs having been put clean through.

Further changes were made during the second half, although there was little in the way of chances for the remainder of the game.

12 goals in the last 3 games should give the Green squad plenty of confidence going into the FA Cup tie, and there are plenty of players that have staked a claim for a place in Matt Harding’s side on Tuesday.

Starting XI: Matt Fallon, Brima Johnson, Mickey Shuttlewood, Jamie Ovington, Dan Weeks, John Smith, Ollie Cox, James Hall, Sidney Gueye, Guiseppe Delgaudio, Elgeniy Daalberg.
