Leverstock Green and Chipperfield Corinthians shared a 2-2 draw in Tuesday night’s friendly at a snowy Pancake Lane.
Despite it being April, there was a flurry of snow before kick-off which required the lines to be swept before the game could start. The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute as former Green player Louie Griffiths sent a lob over Matt Fallon.
Leverstock had a number of chances to equalise before the break, but it wasn’t until two minutes into the second half that they equalised, as Guiseppe Delgaudio set up Cass Grant to score.
Ollie Cox put Leverstock 2-1 up in the 73rd minute, and Delgaudio had the chance to extend the lead six minutes later when he was clean through but put the ball just wide.
Chipperfield brought the scores back level from a late corner, and 2-2 was how the game finished. Leverstock now look forward to their four group games in the Gladwish/SSML Spring Cup.
