The under-16s came from behind to beat St Albans City Academy in Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash at Pancake Lane.
The two sides met just a week after St Albans ended the Green side’s unbeaten league record, and it was the Saints side who held a 1-0 lead at half time. However, two late goals turned it around as an individual goal from Jonny Bevan levelled the scores on 73 minutes, and four minutes later Roman Pirani scored from the penalty spot for what proved to be the winner.
The under-16s are now level on points with Cockfosters at the top of the table, but have a game in hand.
The under-14s travelled to Harlow Town on Sunday morning and were beaten 3-1, with Roshan Hirani scoring the Leverstock goal.
