The first team staged a late comeback in a friendly on Saturday, while both the under-14s and under-16s suffered defeats in the EJA on Sunday.
The first team played a friendly away at Herts County League side Belstone, and after a goalless first half, they found themselves 2-0 down midway through the second half. However, with four minutes remaining a great strike from John Smith reduced the arrears to 2-1, and two minutes later Adiel Mannion was on hand to tuck home the rebound after a Smith shot had been parried to leave a final score of 2-2.
The under-16s’ title hopes were dealt a blow with a 3-1 defeat away to Codicote Wolves on Sunday, with Charlie Dale scoring the goal, while the under-14s were beaten 3-0 at home by Godmanchester Town.
