The under-18s exited the FA Youth Cup at the first hurdle on Wednesday night, as Oxhey Jets came out on top 4-1 in the Extra Preliminary Round tie played at the Boundary Stadium.

Leverstock were offered the first chance 15 minutes in when they were awarded a spot kick. The Oxhey keeper saved the kick and LG were then awarded a corner kick which found the net. The assistant pointing towards the centre spot was then approached by the Referee and after consultation ruled out the goal for offside. Oxhey continued to push forward and took the lead. In first half time added on Leverstock were awarded a free kick which was blasted home to bring the scores level. Still in time added on Oxhey went back in front to go into the break with a 2-1 lead. Shortly into the second period Oxhey were awarded a penalty to increase their lead. The home side found the net again bringing the score to 4-1 and secure their passage to the next round where they will entertain Hilltop.
