The under-15s reached the semi-finals of the EJA Peter Peters Cup on Wednesday night with a 4-3 extra time win over Barking U15 under the floodlights at Pancake Lane.
The visitors led 2-0 at half time, however Raul Imbre pulled a goal back early in the second half, netting a rebound from close range, and Brandon Bowie levelled the scores as he headed home a cross from the left. The game went into extra time, and early in the first period Bowie slipped the ball past the keeper to put Leverstock into the lead at 3-2. Barking hit back though, and levelled the scores at 3-3 before the end of the first period. The scores remained level until two minutes from time when Sid Young was on hand to tap into an empty net and put the Green side into a 4-3 lead which they held onto to claim a place in the last four.
It was a second win of the week for the under-15s. having won 3-1 at home in the league against Cockfosters on Sunday morning. Two goals from Oscar Martin and one from Brandon Bowie clinched the win which increased their lead at the top of the U15 Brown Division to five points.
