Match Report
The under-18s were unable to follow up their impressive win at Aylesbury in their previous game, as this time they were on the wrong end of a 2-4 result in Thursday night’s home game against Dunstable Town.
The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute when a short goal kick from Sean Lockehart was instantly punished by a through ball putting the striker through to score. Lockehart made amends in the 23rd minute, producing a double save from a penalty. However, Dunstable made it 2-0 in the 34th minute direct from a free kick.
It was 3-0 in the 65th minute when a cross from the right was not cleared and Lockehart was beaten by a shot from close range, and Dunstable scored a fourth in the 85th minute with a chipped shot from a narrow angle. However, the scoreline looked less severe after Leverstock pulled back two late goals. Firstly Kai Sullivan scored with a glancing header from a corner in the 87th minute, then Reece Marchant found the net with a stunning free kick in stoppage time. Time ran out before the Green side could threaten any more goals.
