Both the first team and reserves were in pre-season action on Tuesday night.
The first team travelled to Arbour Park to face National League South side Slough Town. The home side took the lead in the 42nd minute when Jeanmal Prosper received a through pass and sent a lob over keeper Liam Gauthier. The second half was equally competitive, but Slough added two late goals, firstly in the 83rd minute as Gauthier’s clearance cannoned off forward Sam Evans and rebounded back over his head into the net. Dan Bayliss added the third from a corner in the 86th minute. It was an excellent performance from the Leverstock side, who were well-drilled and compact throughout and created some chances of their own against top-class opposition.
The reserves were at home to Caddington, and fought back from a 2-0 half time deficit to level at 2-2, only for Caddington to score twice more for a 4-2 lead. However the Green side fought back again for a 4-4 draw.
