In their first game since November, the under-18s gave runaway leaders Boreham Wood a scare before going down 4-2 in Thursday night’s SCFYL Corinthian Division game at Pancake Lane.
Saturday’s scheduled SSML Premier Division game at Colney Heath was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. It has been rearranged for Tuesday 6th March.
Leverstock Green have been awarded the Spartan South Midlands League Respect Team of the Month for December. This is in recognition of the improvement shown in collecting zero Respect penalty points in the four games played in the month. Well done to Scott, Mark and the team for the award, for which we will receive £100 worth of sports clothing from sponsors Hereward Sports.
Both of the under-18s next two scheduled games are OFF: Thursday night at Hemel Whites due to snow, and Monday night at Luton Town Cedars due to the Leighton Town first team having a game the following night. Next action for the under-18s will be in 2018.
Please note that Tuesday night’s scheduled home game against Colney Heath has already been called OFF due to the Pancake Lane pitch being covered in snow and no thaw forecast.
Today’s scheduled match at Cockfosters was postponed by the match referee at 2:05 pm due to parts of the pitch still being frozen. The game has been rearranged for Saturday 10th February.
