Tough start for under-18s
The under-18s faced a tough start to their new league season on Thursday night against the defending champions Luton Town Cedars, who came away from Pancake Lane with an 8-1 win.
Second half rally not enough for first point
Leverstock Green are still looking for their first league point after going down 2-1 at league leaders Biggleswade F.C. on Tuesday night. The newly-promoted side were 2-0 up at the break, the second of which was an own goal. Leverstock fought back in the second half and reduced the arrears to 2-1 through a Jonathan Lacey penalty, but were unable to find an equaliser.
Admission prices for FA Cup replay
The admission prices for Wednesday night’s FA Cup replay against Aylesbury United at Chesham United’s ground are as follows: Adults £9, Concessions £6, U16 £1 when accompanied by an adult.
FA Cup replay to be replayed
The decision of the FA is that the abandoned Extra Preliminary Round replay against Edgware Town must be replayed on Tuesday 15th August at Pancake Lane. More details when available.
Linsell injury leaves FA tie in the balance
Leverstock Green’s fate in the FA Cup is now in the hands of the FA after tonight’s replay was abandoned in stoppage time due to a serious injury to Green defender Casey Linsell with Edgware Town leading 3-2.
