Second half rally not enough for first point
Leverstock Green are still looking for their first league point after going down 2-1 at league leaders Biggleswade F.C. on Tuesday night. The newly-promoted side were 2-0 up at the break, the second of which was an own goal. Leverstock fought back in the second half and reduced the arrears to 2-1 through a Jonathan Lacey penalty, but were unable to find an equaliser.
Two for JJ in Challenge Trophy win
Two goals from Jonathan Lacey and one from the returning Nick Jackson saw Leverstock Green to a 3-0 win at Mursley United in Saturday’s SSML Challenge Trophy first round tie.
